View Fast Before the Feast 2015 (new name and direction)
The 16th Annual Trot for Tots 5K was held at the Mariners’ Museum Park in Newport News, VA. The race was held on Thanksgiving morning, November 27, 2014. The event was organized by Happy Pace Races benefiting the Salvation Army Angel Tree program. The race was conducted and results generated by the Peninsula Track Club. Conditions at race time were cloudy and cold with a bit of rain – temperature around 40 degrees at race start.
A total of 672 runners entered the 5K (down from 821 in 2013) with 589 runners completing the 5K (down from 702 in 2013). The event drew many Thanksgiving visitors including runners from 20 different states and the District of Columbia. The 5K course is not USATF certified.
A family friendly 5K fun event over the paved roads of the Mariners’ Museum property. Benefiting the Salvation Army “Angel Tree Program.”
