    Call your friends and register for the Sunday, October 23, 2016, Yorktown 10K Run for Arts to show your support for Public Art in our region. Proceeds contribute to the Art Playground FUNd. There will be a 10K through the scenic and historic Yorktown Battlefield followed by a Kid’s 1 Mile race in the Riverwalk area.  The race will start and finish at the festival grounds at Riverwalk Landing, and will be followed up with a festive party.

    Beautiful Riverwalk Landing on the York Riverfront in Historic Yorktown Village is the start and finish line for TACL’s RUNforARTS.  In addition to this professionally timed and produced race, runners are encouraged to bring their family and friends for a morning or artful fun. Proceeds contribute to the Art Playground Construction FUNd.

    • Area Plein Air artists (painting in the open air) will give tips and demonstrations.
    • A Chalk Art Competition is available for all ages with the theme: Imagine Your Playground!
    • Live Music by the Smith Wade Band will serve as the back drop for Food, Beer and Libations.
    • Take an Off-Road Segway Tour of the Historic Village or Visit the new American Revolution Museum.
    • Yorktown’s many shops, art galleries and boutiques round out a perfect morning on the beach front.
