PTC members, volunteers, and runners… J&A Racing is advertising a new race on Labor Day Weekend which completely steps on the 44th running of the Tidewater Striders Elizabeth River Run 10K.

ERR 10K was forced to move to Labor Day weekend last year due to conflicts in Norfolk over Memorial Day weekend… they specifically moved to Labor Day weekend because the Rock’n’Roll Virginia Beach race ended in 2021.

Please consider supporting the Tidewater Striders ERR 10K (a fellow RRCA 501(c)(3) club and the last race in our 3 Club Challenge) which supports the Elizabeth River Trail Foundation, another local 501(c)(3) non-profit.

I have run many J&A races, and they put on great events, but in my opinion this is a foul on their part to step on a well-established race that has been running for 44 years.

If you are worried about missing a J&A post-race party, the ERR 10K includes a Team Competition with age-graded results, quality race shirts and finishers medals, and a post-race party with local craft beer, food, live music, and vendors.

Please consider registering for ERR 10K on the Peninsula Track Club team.
