Returning in 2026 is the Three-Club Challenge, a challenge to complete three specific races, one each among the Colonial Road Runners, the PTC, and the Tidewater Striders.

Race 1 (CRR): the Virginia Fire Chiefs Foundation 5k was held on Saturday, March 14.

Race 2 (PTC): the Yorktown Freedom Run Memorial Day 8K was held on Monday, May 25.

Race 3 (Tidewater Striders): the Elizabeth River Run 10K is on Sunday, September 13. Run all three events and earn a special Three-Club Challenge medal at the final race in September!

The Trailzilla Series awards go to the top three overall men and women, and up to the top three in the following age groups: 19-and-under, 20-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-and-over.

Scoring is done by place, with the lowest score winning, from the leading candidates who ran the first two races (5K and 4 mile), with points added from the JoeZilla 5 Miler (JoeZilla points scored only for those eligible, having run the first two Trailzilla races). Must run all three races to be eligible for a series reward. In case of ties, the tiebreaker is the performance in the JoeZilla 5 Miler. Overall top 3 not eligible for age group awards (no duplication of awards)
