The 2nd Annual JLHR Trot for Teal 5K.
Awards went to the top 3 male and female runners overall and the top 3 in each age group. The race, sponsored by the Junior League of Hampton Roads, was held on Saturday morning, April 23, 2011 and was organized to raise awareness of female reproductie cancer adn provide support services for women in Hampton Roads. The race itself was conducted and race results generated by the Peninsula Track Club.
293 runners entered the 5K race with 238 completing the course. The race
was run over the flat City Center course in the Oyster Point area of
Newport News and is accurately measured but is not USATF certified.
Conditions at race time were perfect for running, cool and cloudy with a
slight breeze and temperatures around 60.
