Below are the award winners for the 6th Annual Lytle Law 5K held at the City Center in Oyster Point, Newport News, VA. The race was held on Saturday morning, May 19, 2012 for the benefit of Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters. The race was conducted and results were generated by the Peninsula Track Club. Conditions at race time were clear, sunny with temperatures in the 60s.The race, starting and ending near the Lytle Law Office just off Canon Blvd, was run on streets around the Oyster Point Business Park. The course is not USATF certified. 350 runners entered the 5K (up from 329 in 2011) with 305 completing the course (up from 279 in 2011).
For the second year in a row, Karen Terry, 23 of Newport News set an overall course record for women with a time of 18:44, breaking the record she set in 2010 (19:29).
