The 4th Annual Run With The Son 5K held on the roads in and around the Running Man subdivision in Tabb, VA on
Saturday morning, December 4, 2010. The race was organized by the St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church. The course is accurately measured, but is not USATF certified.The conditions were cold but good for running. Temperatures around 40 greeted the runners on a day with bright sunshine and little wind. 162 runners entered the 5K (down from 172 in 2009) with 153 completing the
race (up from 149 in 2009).Despite the lower numbers of entries, some fast times were set including 1st Male Todd Kessler, 28 of Newport News with a time of 17:29 followed by Nate Wallace (the 2009 winner) with a time of 18:30. A Women’s course
record set by Karen Terry, 21 of Hampton with an impressive time of 18:37. Karen was followed by Laura Springer of Bainsbridge Island, WA with a time of 19:26Finish line and results services were provided by the Peninsula Track Club.
