The 10 Miler was also the 11th race in the 2010 PTC 12-race Grand Prix Series.Both courses started and finished near Surrender Field on the
battlefield. Conditions at race time for both races were clear, sunny and breezy; temperatures in the upper 40s at 5K race time and near 50 for the 10 miler.A total of 273 runners entered the events (up from 262 in 2009). 170 runners completed the 10 Miler (up from 158 in 2009) which was USATF
certified (VA-96039-RT- awaiting re-certification) and the course was run as certified. In the 5K, 84 runners completed the course, the same number as in 2009. The 5K course is not certified.
