The 5th Annual Bobby Stewart 5K & 8K held at Williams Wharf Landing in Mathews, VA to benefit the
Gloucester-Mathews Free Clinic and Ware Academy Scholarship and Financial Aid Fund. The races were held on Saturday morning, October 27, 2012.
The event was organized with the help of Ware Academy. The races were conducted and results were generated by the Peninsula Track Club. Conditions at race time were cloudy and breezy with temperatures in the 60s.A total of 129 runners entered the events (up from 119 in 2011) with 96 in the 5K and 33 in the 8K. 73 runners completed the 5K and 29 completed the 8KAwards went to the top male and female runner overall in the 5K & 8K and to the top 3 in each age group.
Neither course (5K or 8K) is USATF certified.
