The 4th Annual Newport News Jingle Bell 5K Run/Walk for Arthritis was held in Newport News Park in Newport News, VA on Saturday morning, November 16, 2013 The race was sponsored by the Arthritis Foundation.The Jingle Bell 5K was a triple out-and-back course starting at the Ranger Station on Constitution Avenue in Newport News Park. The course ran the length of Constitution Avenue (two of the out-and-backs) with an out-and-back section on Stable Road. The course is USATF certified #VA13054RT and the runners ran the course as certified. Conditions at race time were overcast with temperatures in the 50s.
A total of 258 runners entered the 5K (up from 196 in 2012) with 215 completing the course (up from 163 in 2012).
