At left are the award winners for the 1st Annual Chalkboard Chase Run/Walk held at the Mariners’ Museum in Newport News, VA on Saturday morning,
March 9, 2013 The race was sponsored by Trinity Lutheran School.Finish line and results services were provided by the Peninsula Track Club. A copy of the results, links to pictures and listings for future road races can be found on the PTC website: www.peninsulatrackclub.com.
The course as run was approximately 3.75 miles long (about 6K) starting and finishing at the same location on Musum Drive near the Mariners’
Museum. The course ran towards Lion’s Bridge, down Cedar Road and back to the Mariners’ Museum. The course is not certified. Conditions at race time were sunny and chilly with a breeze and temperatures in the 40s at race time.
A total of 93 runners entered the event with 85 finishing the run.
