The next PTC General Membership Meeting will be held on Tuesday evening, December 9 at the Nelson’s Grant Clubhouse (behind 3 Amigos Restaurant), 100 Laydon Way in Yorktown, starting at 7.
The upcoming PTC Membership meeting is also our annual election for PTC Board Members, followed by a bit of Holiday socializing. So Come and Exercise (pun intended) Your Right to Vote!
Have you ever considered running for office (another pun intended)? At this meeting, we will elect two PTC Board members, go over immediate PTC business and events, and it will serve as our end of the year “Holiday Party” social event with light food refreshments available immediately following the PTC board elections.
There are 2 PTC Board positions up for a vote for a 2-year term:
1st Vice President (Meetings)
Club Secretary
Our all-volunteer club can’t succeed without people willing to step up and volunteer for these important board positions! If you have the desire to actively participate in a PTC board member position by seeking election at this December meeting, please contact Frank Leone, PTC President, at 215-821-6225 or via email at “frank.a.leone@gmail.com“. Anyone that desires to run for a Board Member position needs to be a PTC member in good standing. A description of the specific duties of these positions are as follows:
For the first Vice President, they are: to assume the powers of the President in his/her absence; to plan programs, arrange meeting space, and otherwise coordinate regularly scheduled meetings of the organization; and to take on special assignments as requested by the President. The PTC currently meets four times a year in addition to the Awards banquet in January. They are – (1) third Tuesday in April, (2) summer picnic in September, (3) third Tuesday in October, and (4) second Tuesday in December. The first Vice President is generally responsible for providing guest presenters to the April and October meetings.
For the PTC club secretary position, they are: to record minutes at the general membership and Board of Director meetings (6+ meetings a year) and to keep a file of such minutes; to call special meetings; and, when requested by the President, to accept assignments involving correspondence and the keeping of records.
It would be great to have a huge PTC membership turnout on Tuesday, December 9 @ 7 p.m.
