New PTC Litter Getter Coordinator and next PTC Adopt-A-Highway Litter Getter

PTC Membership,

It is with great pleasure to introduce Peninsula resident and PTC member Teresa Markley as the new PTC Litter Getter Coordinator.  She has graciously “raised her hand” and done some initial “leg work” (no pun intended) to get things in order for the PTC to continue our PTC Adopt-a-Highway Litter Getters in Yorktown.  You may recognize her from multiple club events doing everything and anything for the area running clubs (including chip timing for the Tidewater Striders with her husband).  The PTC would like to thank PTC member Mandy Collier for her years of extraordinary service as the PTC Litter Getter Coordinator.

The next PTC Adopt-a-Highway Litter Getter will be held on Sunday morning, April 12th.  Start time for the litter pick-up is 8:00 a.m.  Help support Teresa Markley and community by going to this PTC Litter Getter to clean up our adopted section of highway (Goosley Road and Route 238 in Yorktown near the battlefield).  You will earn PTC Grand Prix Volunteer points while you’re at it!  We will meet at Yorktown Middle School just off Route 17 on Goosley Road (make a left at the light if you are heading north on Route 17 towards Yorktown). Get there a little before 8:00 a.m. Litter bags and safety vests will be provided, but please bring gloves. For additional information, call Teresa Markley at email = teresa.markley@cox.net.
