The course was on roads and trails within the park. Despite recent days of rain and cloudiness, Saturday cleared and was a good day for running. Partly cloudy skies, a breeze and temperatures in the upper 40s at race time made for decent running weather. The trails in Newport News Park were in decent condition with some slightly moddy or wet spots.<\/p>\n<p>A record 104 runners entered the 10K (down from the record 165 runners in<br \/>\n2010) with 90 completing the race (down from 145 in 2010). The poor<br \/>\nweather of the previous week may have kept race numbers down.<\/p>\n<p>Results are provided by the Peninsula Track Club. The course, which was<br \/>\nchanged slightly this year due to construction on the Dam #1 bridge, was accurately measured, but is not USATF certified.
