Proceeds from the event benefit<br \/>\nthe Mariners\u2019 Museum Park and Noland Trail, the largest Privately owned and maintained park in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Conditions at race time were perfect for running, sunny and windy with<br \/>\ntemperatures in the 60s.<\/p>\n<p>The Noland Trail 10K course starts at the Mariners\u2019 Museum on Museum<br \/>\nDrive, runs down towards River Road before doubling back to enter the<br \/>\nNoland Trail near the Museum Administration building. The 10K then<br \/>\ncompletes the circuit of the Noland Trail, across Lion\u2019s Bridge and<br \/>\nfinally finishing in front of the Museum. The course, which is mostly on trails, is accurately measured and was run as measured, but is not USATF certified.<\/p>\n<p>In its second year, the Mariners\u2019 Museum 5K at the Park starts at the<br \/>\nPeninsula Fine Arts Center on Museum Drive, runs down towards River Road<br \/>\nbefore turning right to make a loop in the Riverside neighborhood before<br \/>\ncoming out on Museum drive and returning to a finish near the Museum<br \/>\nAdministration building.
