The 18th Annual Yorktown Battlefield 10
\nMiler & 5K runs held on the tour roads of the Yorktown Battlfield on
\nSaturday morning, November 5, 2011 The race was sponsored by the
\nYorktown Lion\u2019s Club.<\/p>\n

Finish line and results services were provided by the Peninsula Track
\nClub. A copy of the results, links to pictures from the race and
\nlistings for future road races can be found on the PTC website:
\nwww.peninsulatrackclub.com.<\/p>\n

The 10 Miler was also the 11th race in the 2011 PTC 12-race Grand Prix
\nSeries.<\/p>\n

Both courses started and finished near Surrender Field on the
\nbattlefield. Conditions at race time for both races were clear, sunny
\nand very breezy; temperatures around 50 for both the 5K and the 10 miler.<\/p>\n

A total of 243 runners entered the events (down from 273 in 2010). 153
\nrunners completed the 10 Miler (down from 171 in 2010) which was
\npreviously USATF certified VA-96039-RT \u2013 (currently awaiting
\nre-certification) and the course was run as previously certified. In the
\n5K, 75 runners completed the course, (down from 84 in 2010). The 5K
