Below are the award winners for the 2018 Poquoson’s Run for the Bulls 5K
\nRun.\u00a0 The 5K race (and associated 2 Mile Fun Walk) was held on Saturday
\nmorning, October 27, 2018.\u00a0 The event was sponsored by Poquoson Education
\nFoundataion & Kiwanis Club of Poquoson.\u00a0 The race itself was conducted by
\nthe Peninsula Track Club.<\/p>\n

201 runners and walkers entered the events with 130 runners entered the
\n5K event (118 finishing the 5K course) and 71 entered in the 2-mile
\nwalking event (30 finishing the 2mile)\u00a0 The 5K race itself started at
\nPoquoson High School, followed a loop course on Odd Road and finished at
\nthe Poquoson Elementary School.\u00a0 The course is USATF certified VA14036RT
\nand was run as certified.\u00a0 Conditions at race time were cloudy, damp and
\ncool with a temperature of 58 degrees at race start.<\/p>\n

For the fifth time in five years, Clint Gault, 18 of Poquoson VA won the
\nRun for the Bulls 5K having previously won this same event in 2014, 2015,
\n2016 and 2017, finishing with a time of 16:10 (5:12 per mile pace).\u00a0 2nd
\nMale Overall finisher was Jakob Juhl, 15 of Poquoson VA in a time of
\n19:18 followed by 3rd Male Overall, Mason Ponton, 18 of Poquoson VA with
\na time of 19:33.<\/p>\n

For the women 1st Female was Cassidy Spakes, 14 of Newport News VA with a
\ntime of 22:44.\u00a0 In a foot race at the finish, Tracy Hofstetter, 33 of
\nPoquoson VA finished a mere 5 seconds behind with a time of 22:49 to
\nplace as 2nd Female Overall.\u00a0 3rd Female Overall was Veronica Warwick, 32
\nof Poquoson VA finishing in 24:45.<\/p>\n
