Below are the award winners for the 7th Annual 10-Mile Run for the Heart
\nheld on the tour roads of the Yorktown Battlfield on Saturday morning,
\nFebruary 9, 2019.\u00a0 The race was sponsored by the Knights of Columbus
\nCouncil 5480 with proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association.<\/p>\n

The 10-Mile Run for the Heart was held under rather cold running
\nconditions; partly cloudy with some sun and a gusty breeze out of the
\nnorth\/northwest with a temperature of 34 degrees at race start.\u00a0 145
\nrunners entered the 10-Mile Run for the Heart with 129 completing the 10
\nMile course on the scenic Yorktown Battlefield under cold, breezy
\nconditions.<\/p>\n

The course started and finished near Surrender Field on the Yorktown
\nBattlefield.\u00a0 The 10 Mile course is USATF certified #VA12072RT and was
\nrun as certified.<\/p>\n

Two new age group records were set for this event.<\/p>\n

Paul Glass, 17 of Williamsburg VA improved on the Men 15-19 age group
\nrecord of 1:05:34 that he had set in 2018 at age 16 by finishing with a
\ntime of 1:02:50 this year.<\/p>\n

For Women 55-59, Karla Havens, 56 of Plainview VA set a new record with a
\ntime of 1:20:05 besting the previous record of 1:23:54 set by Norma
\nPhillips in 2016.<\/p>\n
