Results\u00a0All Runners FoxHill 5K 2019<\/a><\/p>\n

Below are the award winners for the 8th Annual Fox Hill Community 5K held
\nat Langley Elementary and Gosnold’s Hope Park in the Fox Hill area of
\nHampton, VA on Saturday, May 18, 2019.\u00a0 The race was conducted and
\nresults were generated by the Peninsula Track Club.\u00a0 Conditions at race
\ntime were clear and sunny with a temperature of 71 at race time.<\/p>\n

The race, started and ended near the Langley Elementary School in Fox
\nHill and ran the roads and paths around Gosnold’s Hope Park.\u00a0 The course
\nis not USATF certified.\u00a0 126 runners entered the 5K or accompianying 1
\nMile Fun Run.\u00a0 113 runners and walkers completing the 5K course.<\/p>\n

The Overall winner and Top finisher for the Men was Douglas Marshall, 45
\nof Mathews, VA with a time of 19:10 (6:10 minute per mile pace).\u00a0 2nd
\nOverall Male was robert Brauchle, 34 of Hampton, VA finishing in 19:35.
\nSteven Kast took 3rd Male Overall with a time of 20:47.<\/p>\n

For the third year in a row, 1st Woman Overall was Karen Sanzo, 42 of
\nHampton, VA in 22:18 (7:10 pace).\u00a0 Second Woman Overall was Jennifer
\nCornette, 48 of Newport News, VA in 25:16 followed by Beate Rudnik, 56 of
\nYorktown, VA with a time of 25:29.<\/p>\n

Three new course records were set at the 2019 edition of the Fox Hill
\nCommunity 5K.<\/p>\n

Third Woman Overall, Beate Rudnik, 56 of Yorktown VA, set a new course
\nrecord for Women 55 – 59 with a time of 25:29 besting the old record of
\n25:54 set by Shirley Stephens in 2012.<\/p>\n

Michael Poff, 74 of Ellwood City PA, broke his own record of 27:10 for
\nMen 70 – 74 which he previously set in 2018 by finishing this year with a
\ntime of 25:45.<\/p>\n

And WWII veteran and Virginia Peninsula Road Running Hall of Fame member,
\nRobert S White, aged 95, of Hampton VA, established a new record for Men
\n95-99 with a time of 56:33.\u00a0 Robert S White also holds the record on the
\nFox Hill course for Men 90 – 94 of 42:11 which he set in 2015 at age 91.<\/p>\n
