Below and attached are the full results for the 13th ANNUAL FAST & FUNKY 5K<\/strong> held on Saturday morning, September 27, 2025. The race was sponsored by Transitions Family Violence Services,<\/strong> an organization that has provided comprehensive domestic violence services on the Virginia Peninsula for over 40 years.<\/div>\n
The FAST & FUNKY 5K embraced the theme “Peace, Love and Running”<\/em> with some runners dressing the mod\/hippie fashions of the 1960s and 70s at the race’s new venue of the Mariners’ Museum Park. The out-and-back course for the FAST & FUNKY 5K started in the Mariners’ Museum Park across from Warwick High School, followed Boundary Road out to and across Lion’s Bridge with a turnaround on Museum Drive before returning back across Lion’s Bridge to finish near the race start. The 5K course is not USATF Certified, but is accurately measured and was followed correctly by the runners.<\/div>\n
Conditions at race time were good for running despite earlier heavy rain overnight; overcast with a slight breeze and a temperature of 74 at race start. 62 runners, walkers and virtual runners entered the 5K with 46 runners and walkers completing the live 5K.<\/div>\n
Finish line and results services were provided by the Peninsula Track Club. A copy of the results, links to pictures from the race and listings for future road races can be found on the PTC website: www.peninsulatrackclub.com.<\/div>\n
