It is with great pleasure to introduce Peninsula resident and PTC member Teresa Markley<\/strong> as the new PTC Litter Getter Coordinator.<\/strong> She has graciously \u201craised her hand\u201d and done some initial \u201cleg work\u201d (no pun intended) to get things in order for the PTC to continue our PTC Adopt-a-Highway Litter Getters in Yorktown. You may recognize her from multiple club events doing everything and anything for the area running clubs (including chip timing for the Tidewater Striders with her husband). The PTC would like to thank PTC member Mandy Collier<\/strong> for her years of extraordinary service as the PTC Litter Getter Coordinator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The next\u00a0PTC Adopt-a-Highway Litter Getter<\/strong>\u00a0will be held on Sunday morning, April 12th.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Start time for the litter pick-up is\u00a08:00 a.m.<\/strong>\u00a0 Help support Teresa Markley and community by going to this PTC Litter Getter to clean up our adopted section of highway (Goosley Road and Route 238 in Yorktown near the battlefield).\u00a0 You will earn\u00a0PTC Grand Prix Volunteer points<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0while you\u2019re at it!\u00a0 We will\u00a0meet at Yorktown Middle School just off Route 17 on Goosley Road<\/strong>\u00a0(make a left at the light if you are heading north on Route 17 towards Yorktown). Get there a little before 8:00 a.m. Litter bags and safety vests will be provided, but\u00a0please bring gloves<\/strong>.
