The 4th Annual Menchville Winter Chill 5K held on the roads and trails near Menchville High School in Newport News,  VA on Saturday morning, January 17, 2015.  The race benefitted the Menchville High Choral groups.  The course is accurately measured but not USATF certified.
 
The conditions were sunny, cold and breezy with temperatures aroudn 35.  78 runners entered the race (down from 94 in 2014) with 74 completing the 5K (down from 77 in 2014).  
 
It was a small, but fast field for the Menchville Winter Chill 5K.  Overall race winner and 1st Male Overall was RICH SAUNDERS, 26 of Williamsburg VA in a time of 16:44 (5:24 pace).  2nd Male Overall was JIM HIGHSMITH, 32 of Newport News VA in 18:16 followed by 3rd Male (and 4th Overall finisher) JOHN SCOTT, 51 of Newport News in 18:51
 
1st Woman (and 3rd finisher overall) was SIKA HENRY, 31 of Newport News in 18:26 (5:56 pace) followed by SHEILA SCOTTI, 31 of Newport News VA in
21:31 with 3rd Woman Overall going to SARAH SCOTT, 17 of Newport News VA in 22:04.
