The 2nd Annual Mutt and Jeff’s No IFs, ANDs, or BUTTs 5K. Awards went to the top 3 male and female runners overall, the top 3 male and female walkers overall, and the top 3 in each age group. The race was held on Saturday morning, March 27, 2010. Proceeds benefit Colorectal Cancer research; the race was organized by Sentara Hospital Auxiliary. The race itself was conducted by the Peninsula Track Club.161 runners and walkers entered the 5K race (down from 164 in 2009), with 142 completing the course. The race was run over the flat City Center course in the Oyster Point area of Newport News and is accurately measured but is not USATF certified. Conditions at race time were cold with a breeze and temperatures in the mid 40s.
