The 2010 TROT for TEAL 5K Run held in Newport News
on Saturday morning, April 24, 2010. Awards went to the top 3 men and women overall and the top 3 in each age group. Race proceeds will benefit female reproductive cancer awareness and provide support services for women in Hampton Roads. The race was
organized by the Junior League of Hampton Roads and conducted by the Peninsula Track Club.169 runners entered the 5K with 144 runners completing the 5K. The race was run completely on the flat course in the City Center section of Newport News.
Conditions at race time were cool, with temperature around 60 degrees and light showers falling off and on throughout the race.
