PTC members Braxton & Maryanne Lee are raising funds for the “Lee’s World Quest” where they will attempt to set 2 World Records! Braxton and Maryanne will run 7 Half Marathons, in 7 days, on 7 continents setting a first mother & son record and the youngest person to complete the Challenge! They are hosting the “Lee’s World Quest 5K & Fun Run” on Saturday, 23 July, starting and finishing at Clara Byrd Baker Elementary School in Williamsburg. Fellow PTC members may consider registering for the race or donating to their fundraiser.

Fellow PTC members, unfortunately the weather forecast for tomorrow afternoon looks miserable with thunderstorms and a very high probability of rain. I regret to do this, but we are canceling tomorrow’s PTC Annual Picnic. I wanted to let you know as early as possible for your planning purposes.

I hope to find another date on the calendar to reschedule it but existing schedule conflicts and availability of a pavilion may be a big challenge.

As of this moment, however, we are planning to hold the Trailzilla Joe-Zilla 5-Miler. We will make the weather call on that in the morning. The forecast for the race is scattered thunderstorms so, if we get lucky and don’t have any lightning, we may be able to have a very soggy race tomorrow.

We are less than a week away from our Annual PTC Picnic!

PTC members should check your inbox for an email from SignUpGenius to RSVP! Please keep in mind that each potluck dish should typically be 10-12 servings. The total number of dishes requested are identified. Select “1” for each potluck dish (not for each serving).

It’s important for us to estimate attendance so we can plan accordingly for the food/drinks that PTC will provide. THANK YOU!

Following the Joe-Zilla 5-Miler, the Annual PTC Picnic will be held from 11:30 am-3:00 pm on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Bethel Park, 123 Saunders Rd., Hampton.

PTC will be providing hamburgers, veggie burgers, hotdogs, buns and condiments. We will also provide soda, water, beer and wine as well as plates, napkins and utensils.
