Below are the award winners for the 2nd Annual Transitions 5K held on the Matteson Trail that circles The Hampton’s Golf Course in Hampton, VA.
The race was held on Saturday, August 25, 2012. The event was organized by Transitions Family Violence Services, dedicated to ending Domestic
Violence. The race itself was conducted and results were generated by the Peninsula Track Club. The 5K managed to take place despite heavy rain and thunderstorms in the area. Conditions at race time were acceptable for the 5K to take place with rain and temperatures in the 70s.The 5K run followed the Matteson Trail and was run correctly by the runners. This course is not USATF certified. 88 runners entered the 5K (up from 47 in 2011) with 48 completing the course (up from 41 in 2011).
