Our PTC Summer Fun Run Series is on! We needed to postpone the first run due to Hurricane Isaias and apparently it was a good call since we’ve learned there was lots of debris on the Newport News Park Bikeway. Our series is now:
Tuesday, 11 August: Lake Matoaka 4.3-Mile Trail Challenge, starting at 6:30 PM at Zable Stadium in Williamsburg.
Tuesday, 18 August: Swamp Bridge 5K, starting at 6:30 PM at Newport News Park, Picnic Area #3 (near the intersection of Constitution Way & Old Stable Rd).
Tuesday, 25 August: Tom Ray Memorial Predict Your Time 5-Miler, starting at 6:30 PM near the Newport News Parks Campsite Office and boat ramp (13564 Jefferson Ave.).
Also, our PTC Pub Fun Run, which was scheduled for 26 August so as not to be too close on the calendar with any of our Summer Fun Run races, will take place as scheduled at 6:00 PM at Oozlefinch Beers & Blending, 81 Patch Rd., Fort Monroe.
