The 4th Annual ECPI 8K held at Mariners’ Museum Park in Newport News, VA on Saturday morning, September 12, 2015. The race event benefited Transitions Family Services. The race itself was conducted and results were generated by the Peninsula Track Club.
Conditions at race time were cloudy and humid with temperatures in the
mid 70s.
The race started and ended at Mariners’ Museum Park across from Warwick High School. The out and back course followed Boundary Road through the park to River Road, across Lion’s Bridge and up Museum Drive to a turnarounds near the Mariners’ Museum itself, then returning the same route. The 8K course has been USATF Certified #VA14041RT and was followed correctly by the runners.
