All proceeds of this event go towards the upgrades and maintenance of the KT and the local Boy Scouts of America. The Boy Scouts will be heavily involved in preparing the trails and volunteering the day of the race. Several Scout leaders volunteer their time to help participate in making this event a success every year. This race is sponsored by the West Virginia Mountain Trail Runners to help make this a truly epic event.
The 50K and 25K race is set to cap out this year at 100 runners in each race. The 10K is unlimited runners and includes same day registration.
