The results for the 2nd Annual ECPI 8K held at Mariners’ Museum Park in Newport News, VA on Saturday morning, September 14, 2013. The race event benefited the Peninsula SPCA. The race itself was conducted and results were generated by the Peninsula Track Club. Conditions at race time were excellent for running, sunny and breezy with low humidity, temperatures in the low 60s.68 runners entered the 8K with 58 completing the race. The race started and ended at Mariners’ Museum Park across from Warwick High School. The course followed an out-and-back course following a road through the park to River Road, across Lion’s Bridge and up Museum Drive to a turnaround near the Peninsula Fine Arts Center and back. The 8K course was accurately measured, but is not USATF certified at this time. The course was followed correctly by the runners.
