Below and attached are the full results for the 1st Annual Raptor Chapter
Ugly Sweater 5K Run held in Newport News Park, Newport News, VA on
Saturday morning, December 9, 2017. The race was sponsored by the Air
Force Sergeants Association Chavpter 358 (The Raptor Chapter).
The Ugly Sweater 5K course consisted of a triple out-and-back starting at
the Ranger Station on Constitution Avenue in Newport News Park. The
course ran through the Christmas decorations along the length of
Constitution Avenue (two of the out-and-backs) with an out-and-back
section on Stable Road. The 5K course is USATF certified #VA13054RT.
The runners ran the course correctly as measured.
Conditions at race time were cold, breezy and rainy with a termperature
of 38 at race start. 64 runners entered the race, but only 33 braved the
cold, blustery and wet condtions to complete the 5K. Awards went to the
Top 3 Overall Men & Women. All runners who completed the 5K received
finisher medals.
